Hospitality Manager

Root River Hospitality encompasses both Root River Inn & Suites as well as Paddle On Coffee & Maker Emporium. We are a kindness driven hospitality company in the heart of Lanesboro. We serve the community and visitors through appealing spaces and quality offerings to enhance their time in this beautiful area.

Role Description

This position can be up to 40 hours in May-October. 

This is a part-time to full-time, on-site role located in Lanesboro, MN. The candidate will manage the daily operations of the coffeehouse, including teen staff supervision, manage scheduling, inventory & implement promotional activities. They will also learn housekeeping, hotel management & customer service in relation to hospitality. Candidate will share phone call responsibilities for hotel reservations. Candidates must be competent and responsible to work unsupervised and trustworthy.

This position will receive tips when working in housekeeping or as a barista.

Qualifications

• Ability to see what needs to be done and the work ethic to do it.

• Gentle but confident leadership style. Does hard things and expects the team to do so as well.

• Competent and gentle leader of teenagers under their supervision

• Handles high-pressure situations or customers with peace

• Experience with social media & photography

• Excellent and clear communicator in person, over text or on the phone.

• Education or experience in a related field.
